“Biden Faces Questions Over Interview with Talk Show Featuring Hate-Mongering Antisemite

Joseph Biden recently appeared on a radio show that has been promoting a known antisemite, Nick Fuentes, who has compared Jews to termites in the past. This has caused alarm among many in the Jewish community and sparked controversy over Biden’s decision to give the show an interview.

Fuentes is a far-right activist who is anti-immigration and strongly promotes white nationalist ideology. He has also been criticized for his anti-Semitic remarks. He was quoted as saying “Jews are like termites. They burrow in and get comfortable and everyone else gets pushed out.” His comments have been condemned by numerous civil rights organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League.

Despite the outcry, Biden gave an interview to the radio show in question, The Joe Pags Show. Pags has been a long-time supporter of Fuentes and has had him as a guest multiple times. Pags has also echoed some of Fuentes’ views on immigration, such as his opposition to DACA.

The Biden campaign defended the candidate’s decision, saying that he was unaware of Pags’ connection to Fuentes and had no prior knowledge of the hateful ideas propagated by Fuentes. The campaign also said that Biden disagreed with any form of bigotry and discrimination and that his record of fighting for civil rights speaks for itself.

This controversy highlights the fine line between free speech and hate speech and the need to clearly distinguish between the two. It is encouraging to see Biden vigorously condemn antisemitism and all forms of discrimination. However, it is important for public figures to be extra diligent in choosing to whom to give interviews and to ensure that they are not inadvertently promoting racism or bigotry.
